<h2>We Are Hiring!</h2>Position: Field Organizer (Independent Contractor) Hours: 20 hours per week (Evenings on Weekdays and Saturday Mornings) Pay: $20 per hour&nbsp; Start Date: Immediate&nbsp; End Date: November 5th We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join Natalie Pinkney's campaign for Salt Lake County Council as part-time Field Organizers. This role is crucial in connecting with voters and building a strong volunteer base to support our campaign efforts.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct direct voter contact through door-to-door canvassing and phone banking</li><li>Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for various campaign activities</li><li>Assist in organizing and executing campaign events and voter outreach initiatives</li><li>Track and report on voter contact and volunteer recruitment metrics</li><li>Collaborate with the Field Director and other team members to implement campaign strategies</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Access to reliable transportation</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Comfortable with technology and data entry</li><li>Passion for community engagement and local politics</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Previous campaign volunteer experience</li><li>Familiarity with Salt Lake County and local political landscape</li><li>Experience in volunteer management or community organizing</li></ul>This is an independent contractor position reporting directly to the Field Director. If Natalie is elected she will be one of nine people on the County Council which is the legislative body of the county.<h2>What Does the County Council Do?</h2>The Salt Lake County Council is the legislative body of the county government. You can think of it like Congress, the state legislature, or your local city council. The Salt Lake County Council is made up of nine members, 6 who are elected to represent districts and 3 who are elected to represent the whole county. Protecting the hard-earned money of working families is crucial to ensuring the success of residents. In my own city, I created a Financial Empowerment Center and I plan to grow this program county-wide to support the financial success of our community members.

By preserving and expanding parks and recreation areas in our valley, we can create sustainable, climate-resilient communities that benefit us and future generations.

Greener Future

Natalie wants families to know that the Boys &amp; Girls club isn’t just an after-school program, it also offers working families affordable child care. There are licensed child care programs in two Utah locations for children as young as three years old, and also full day pre-K programs. She calls it one of the best kept secrets for families that is available to those moms and dads who are busy in the day with school and work and need affordable assistance.

In this Op Ed Natalie explains how addressing homelessness isn’t just the right thing to do morally — it’s also the fiscally responsible choice for our county. While many view tackling homelessness as costly, implementing comprehensive strategies to combat it is compassionate and economically smart.
